Union Health Minister J P Nadda opened 10 Critical Care Blocks and 12 Integrated Public Health Laboratories in Andhra Pradesh under PM-ABHIM.
Nationally, 631 Critical Care Blocks have been sanctioned under PM-ABHIM; Andhra Pradesh has 24 CCBs (about Rs 606 crore) and 26 IPHLs (Rs 32.50 crore).
The Centre approved Rs 1,271.80 crore for Andhra Pradesh across four components: CCBs, IPHLs, and urban and rural Ayushman Arogya Mandirs.
The Minister cited more than 1.75 lakh Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, out-of-pocket expenditure down to 43.4%, and 23 AIIMS.
He praised Andhra Pradesh's Sanjeevani programme (41 health parameters tested) as a possible national model.
Build pandemic-ready public health infrastructure without disrupting routine care
