The Defence Acquisition Council, chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, granted Acceptance of Necessity for capital acquisition proposals worth about Rs 1.10 lakh crore in New Delhi on 7 September 2026.
The Ministry of Defence said around 98% of the procurement value will be sourced from domestic Indian industry under the Atmanirbhar Bharat framework.
