India and Luxembourg held ministerial talks on 7 September 2026 on expanding bilateral cooperation in space and opening new areas including artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, advanced materials and life sciences.
Luxembourg's Minister of the Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism, Lex Delles, called on Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences and Minister of State in the Department of Space.
The talks build on the India-Luxembourg MoU of February 2022 on the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes.
Existing commercial cooperation includes satellite transponder leasing and the launch of two Luxembourg satellites aboard India's PSLV.
The discussions are intended to generate concrete inputs ahead of a proposed State Visit from Luxembourg to India in January 2027.
