Egypt's Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities announced the discovery of an Old Kingdom tomb at Saqqara belonging to Sekhentyu-Ptah, an official who held the title 'keeper of the secrets of royal decrees'.

The tomb was found in the Bubasteion cemetery at Saqqara during the first excavation season of an Egyptian archaeological mission.
•
Finds include a funerary chapel with an inscribed false door still in its original position, three sealed stone sarcophagi, human remains, over 100 faience ushabti figurines, a wooden falcon statue and a complete alabaster ritual set.
